BASF increases prices for BDO, derivates

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., November 25, 2004 -- Effective December 1, 2004, or as allowed by contract, BASF will increase the sales prices for 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) and its derivatives worldwide as follows:

1,4-Butanediol (BDO): + $0.30 per kilogram
Gamma-Butyrolactone (GBL): + $0.30 per kilogram
N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP - all grades): + $0.30 per kilogram
Tetrahydrofuran (THF): + $0.35 per kilogram
Polytetramethylene-etherglycol (PolyTHF®): + $0.35 per kilogram
